DOG FRIENDLY SELF CATERING HOLIDAYS

Launceston Farm offers that hard-to-come-by combination of ultra stylish with dog friendly. With 900 acres of farmland on your doorstep and nearby dog friendly beaches at Studland Bay and Bournemouth, you can treat the whole family to a holiday.

Dogs are welcome in the Farmhouse, The Bothy and Flint but we ask that their movements are restricted to the kitchen living areas
and not to allow him/her in the bedrooms. We have stair gates at the bottom of the stairs in The Farmhouse and in Flint to help ensure this. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture. There is an outdoor tap outside the Farmhouse which you are welcome to use if you come back from a walk with a very muddy dog. Dog bowls, beds etc aren’t provided but if you do forget anything please let us know and we will see what we can do to help. When walking your dog, we kindly ask that you ensure you clean up after them, as this is especially important when around livestock to avoid the spreading of any diseases.

It is important to be aware that we have livestock on the farm. We have a large
beef herd, occasionally lambs or cows in the Orchard next to The Farmhouse and free-range chickens pecking around the farmyard and the grassy area next to the swimming pool. Please do not let your dogs into any fields with livestock and keep them on a lead and firmly under control when livestock are nearby. Please pay particular attention to the meadow next to the Farmhouse garden as cows with their calves are often grazing here. We do have working dogs on the Farm who you will also see out and about.

Dorset for Dogs

Our local pubs, The Langton Arms and The Museum, are both dog friendly and are both in walking distance. There are plenty of dog friendly beaches nearby but if you would like more information about dog friendly cafes, restaurants and visitor attractions, we recommend Dorset Dogs.D
