So how do our organic beef boxes work?
1. You buy a share of the highest welfare, pasture and forage fed, organic cow, born and raised on the farm. The cow will be split into 20 shares (7kg), but if one share is too much you can always team up with neighbours or friends and share that way as well.
2. We give you a date for delivery – in this case it’s Monday 1st June – which hopefully gives you plenty of time to make room in your freezer. Your share will be delivered fresh and will neatly fill one freezer drawer.
3. In the meantime, your cow is taken to a local, family run abattoir where it is hung for 28 days to develop its premium taste and texture, and then butchered, vacuum packed in portion sizes and labelled.
4. We will deliver your box to you on the day it is butchered.
Your share will include 7kg of prime quality organic beef in the following cuts which is ideal for a family of 2-4:
As we mentioned, this is the first time we’ve done this. We won’t know exactly how many/much of each cut you will get but you will get an amount of everything to ensure zero waste and the highest quality and return for you.
The cost of an organic beef box delivered to your door is £95. That is 56 servings of meat which works out at only £1.70 per portion! Sadly as we aren’t completely organised we can only deliver to addresses within 10 miles of the Farm.
