Well over to Eve for this one, who is out in Zambia working on various voluntary projects putting her gardening skills to excellent use.
“Today was the first day or my gardening sessions at the orphanage. For the past two days I have been madly rushing around town buying tools and seeds (being Africa these things seem to take a lot longer than just a quick trip down to Bartlet’s!). We got loads of beds dug over and lots of seeds planted.”
“I’ve got some money left in the pot and am still trying to raise some more (have raised almost 400 quid so far) as i want to but a water pump engine. All the water comes form a hand pump quite far away from the veg patch and all the watering is done by a watering can. I’m not sure that that method is going to ensure that the vegetables are going to be watered very well!”
Keep us posted on that spinach Eve!
